Mission Statement
The mission of the Coalition for the Development of the Black Family (which includes all people of African descent) is to develop, strengthen and empower the Black Familiy, educationally, socially, economically and health wise.
These goals can be accomplished by organizing individuals, families, professional, service providers and businesses under the banner of the Coalition, for the purpose of providing services to all of its members. Another aspect of the Coalition’s mission is to promote, create, encourage and facilitate events, forums and other activities that will help develop relationships among all of its members, and the community at large. Additionally the Coalition would like to help create jobs, businesses, and promote both stronger familiy involvement and better educational support.
Purpose
The purpose for which the Coalition for the Development of the Black Family is organized is to establish and develop a coalition of organizations and services that will provide for the improvement of health, social, educational and economic conditions, as wel as, the quality of life for the Black family.
Objectives
- To promote and establish communications and relationships among Africans, African Americans, Caribbeans, South Americans, and other Black Families around the world
- To promote and establish cultural awareness among fricans, African Americans, Caribbeans, South Americans, and other Black Families around the world
- To promote, establish and develop social and cultural programs among Black Families nationally and internationally
- To create and develop exchange, educational, economic, and social programs among Black Families nationally and internationally
- To create and develop financial systems among countries of African, Caribbean, South American and African American people
- To help create, promote and develop scientific and medical programs for African, Caribbean, South American and African American communities
- To host an annual conference on the status of Black Families
- To develop inter-generational relationships among Black Families
Goals
